India, Oct. 25 -- With the Congress submitting a list of nearly 200 seats to the Samajwadi Party for an alliance in the crucial 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, party sources said general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will personally monitor the progress of negotiations and intervene whenever required.

A party insider told The Sunday Guardian that seatsharing talks with the Samajwadi Party had begun, with state in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam, newly appointed state unit chief Aradhana Mishra Mona and working president Imran Masood holding a detailed meeting in Lucknow.

The insider said the Congress had submitted a list of nearly 200 seats to the Samajwadi Party three to four days ago.
