India, July 23 -- While the other nations enter the Commonwealth Games 2026 with medal hopes, Bangladesh has a different goal to achieve. The Asian country has sent a 35-member contingent to Glasgow, Scotland, for the 23rd edition of the multi-sport spectacle, slated to get underway on July 23 and run until August 2. While the CWG 2026 features nearly 3000 athletes, Bangladesh will have representatives across four sports: athletics (five), swimming (four), boxing (three) and gymnastics (three).

Speaking about the reason for sending a small contingent, the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) said that they would be participating in this year's Commonwealth Games to maintain its presence.
