India, July 30 -- The much-anticipated men's javelin throw qualification at the Commonwealth Games 2026 lived up to expectations as Neeraj Chopra booked his place in the final with a best effort of 79.61m. The reigning Olympic and former Commonwealth champion was joined by fellow Indians Yashvir Singh and Rohit Yadav, ensuring three Indian athletes progressed to the medal round. Chopra finished ahead of Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, whose best throw of 78.63m came in his opening attempt.
