India, July 31 -- India's impressive run at the Commonwealth Games 2026 continued on Thursday as weightlifter Lovepreet Singh added another medal to the country's tally with a silver in the men's +110kg category in Glasgow. The result marked a significant milestone for the Punjab-born lifter, who improved on the bronze medal he won at Birmingham 2022 and once again highlighted India's strength in weightlifting on the Commonwealth stage.

Competing at the SEC Arena, Lovepreet entered the final as a strong contender. He delivered a composed performance throughout the evening and finished second at the CWG medal event.
