India, July 22 -- The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games are set to bring together more than 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories for a compact 10-day sporting spectacle from July 23 to August 2. The 23rd edition of the Games will follow a streamlined format, focusing on sustainability, reduced costs, and efficient scheduling while featuring 11 sports across four existing venues in Glasgow. The action begins with the opening ceremony at the OVO Hydro, followed by medal events in swimming, gymnastics, boxing, athletics, weightlifting, track cycling, judo, netball, and 3x3 basketball.
