India, July 29 -- India heads into Day 7 with renewed confidence after Harjinder Kaur and Gulveer Singh secured silver medals on Tuesday, while the boxing contingent continued its excellent run by sending multiple athletes into the semifinals, guaranteeing more medals for the country.

Attention now shifts to another action packed day with a number of medals up for grabs. Long jump star Murali Sreeshankar will lead India's athletics charge alongside Lokesh Sathyanathan while Parul Choudhary is eyeing a podium finish in the women's 3000m steeplechase. Shot putter Manpreet Kaur, weightlifter Sanjana, and para athletes Devender Kumar and Sagar Thayat will also be among India's leading medal hopes.
