India, July 13 -- There have been reports of wildfires blazing close to Rabbit Ears Pass, outside Steamboat Springs, Colorado and there were reports of smoke seen around 11:45 a.m. Several residents have posted pictures and videos of this fire in their social media accounts. It has now been confirmed that the fire is blazing within the National Forest, with the U.S. Forest Service taking control of firefighting operations.

Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue (SSFR) has stated that they are aware of the fire and has thanked members of the public for alerting them about the smoke while official have been advised to be vigilant as authorities assess the situation.
