China Humanoid Robot Ban: US Federal Communications Commission Restricts Foreign Imports Over National Security Concerns
India, July 30 -- In a sweeping escalation of technological decoupling, the US Federal Communications Commission has announced an immediate ban on the import of new foreign-made humanoid robots, four-legged robot dogs, and power inverters. Citing severe cybersecurity threats and critical supply chain vulnerabilities, the regulatory action directly targets China, which currently commands approximately eighty-five per cent of the global humanoid robotics market.
