India, Sept. 26 -- More than 525 people have been evacuated to safer places in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra due to floods caused due to heavy rains in neighboring Chhattisgarh state. This evacuation drive has been undertaken in the Bhamragad region, where the water level has risen due to floods. This evacuation process has been carried out from the afternoon till late evening hours on Thursday. Due to the fact that the water level is falling, the situation in these areas has begun to improve.
