India, June 4 -- Chennai is expected to witness contrasting weather conditions over the coming days. While heavy rainfall is forecast across several western and southern districts until June 7, Chennai and other northern coastal regions are likely to continue experiencing hot and humid conditions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, widespread rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are anticipated, with temperatures rising to as high as 40 Degrees Celsius.
