India, June 14 -- Few parts of Chennai are set to experience a scheduled power outage on Sunday, June 14, as the electricity department carries out routine maintenance and infrastructure improvement works. As per officials, the electricity supply will stay suspended from 9 AM to 5 PM in the impacted localities, though it may come back a little earlier if they finish the work ahead of time. So residents and businesses there have been told to set up their day in advance, plan accordingly, and try to minimize the inconvenience during this roughly five hour shutdown. Some areas are anticipated to be impacted by the shutdown for the majority of the day.
