India, Sept. 13 -- A year after Charlie Kirk was shot dead at a Utah college event, some of the hundreds of Americans who lost their jobs over critical comments about his death say they still stand by what they said, even as the fallout continues to upend their lives, the BBC has reported.

Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of the conservative youth group Turning Point USA, was killed on 10 September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem.
