India, Sept. 8 -- UEFA has confirmed that all Champions League matches this week will begin with a minute's silence to honour those affected by the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal. The governing body will also place a solidarity banner inside stadiums during the fixtures as a gesture of support for the victims and communities impacted by the disaster.

The tribute will take place as the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League gets underway on Tuesday, September 8.
