India, Aug. 2 -- Spain has installed a 500-metre floating sea barrier along part of the maritime border surrounding its North African territory of Ceuta following one of the largest migrant crossings in recent years. Spanish authorities said the new containment system was introduced after an estimated 50,000 to 60,000 migrants crossed into the enclave from neighbouring Morocco earlier this week.

The move comes as European leaders push for a coordinated response to the crisis, while Spain has defended both its border management and its cooperation with Morocco.
