CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Faces Cyberattack Hours After Launch, Records 15 Lakh Hits in Just 2 Minutes
India, June 2 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday reported a major cyberattack on its newly launched Class 12 verification and re-evaluation portal. The cyber attack came just hours after the portal became operational.
According to the board, the platform faced a barrage of cyber threats, which included a denial-of-service (DoS) attack that generated around 15 lakh hits within just two minutes. CBSE also reported that out of 15 lakh, more than one lakh attempts were made to gain unauthorised access to files.
"The CBSE re-evaluation portal is currently supporting more than 8,000 concurrent users. As of 3 pm today, over 16,000 students have successfully submitted their applications," the board said in a post on X...
