India, May 19 -- Carlos Alcaraz has pulled out of Wimbledon and the rest of the grass-court swing due to a wrist injury. The two-time Wimbledon winner had been dealing with the issue since his last appearance at the Barcelona Open in April and hasn't featured on court since that withdrawal.

He opened the year by winning the Australian Open men's title, becoming the youngest player to complete the Career Grand Slam. The 23-year-old seven-time Grand Slam champion had already skipped the French Open as part of his recovery and has now extended his break from competition.
