India, Sept. 11 -- Carlos Alcaraz may have seen his US Open 2926 campaign end against Ben Shelton, but the Spaniard left New York with another moment that showed a different side of him. According to MARCA, Alcaraz went out of his way to help doubles player Marcel Granollers recover from an ankle injury ahead of his next match.

Granollers suffered a right ankle sprain during his US Open doubles round-of-16 match and had only around 24 hours to recover before returning to court for the quarterfinals.

The injury came at a difficult time, with Granollers needing treatment quickly if he was going to have any chance of playing the following day.
