India, Oct. 1 -- Canada Stock Market (TSX) Today (October 01): Canadian stocks ended lower as investors faced a combination of rising global borrowing costs, weaker manufacturing momentum and sharp losses in several mining companies. The S&P/TSX Composite Index fell 224.40 points, or 0.63%, to 35,235.87, marking a fresh one-month low as financial and materials stocks weighed on the benchmark.
The decline came as a global bond sell-off pushed yields higher and investors assessed fresh Canadian manufacturing data. The S&P Global Canada Manufacturing PMI fell from 53.0 in August to 51.5 in September, marking the sector's slowest expansion in six months.
