Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Acquitted By Delhi Court In Harassment Case Filed By Six Women Wrestlers
India, Aug. 3 -- A Delhi court has acquitted former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and former WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar in the sexual harassment case filed by six women wrestlers. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Ashwini Panwar of the Rouse Avenue Court delivered the verdict on Monday, nearly two years after the trial began.
The case stemmed from allegations made by six women wrestlers, following which Delhi Police filed a chargesheet against Singh and Tomar in 2023. The court had reserved its verdict on July 2 before pronouncing the judgment on Monday.
