India, June 18 -- A major power outage disrupted daily life for thousands of residents in Brick Township, New Jersey, on Thursday after an electrical problem affected a key part of the local power network.

Jersey Central Power & Light confirmed that around 8,000 customers lost electricity when a high-voltage feeder line tripped and cut supply to a substation. Utility crews were quickly dispatched to the site, and restoration efforts are now underway with power expected to return in phases.
