India, May 31 -- Arjun Sarja's newest action drama, Blast, saw a decent jump at the box office as it wrapped up its opening weekend. The film, helmed by debutant Subash K. Raj and backed by AGS Entertainment, began in a modest kind of way but slowly sort of gathered speed because of upbeat word of mouth and also the kind of feedback the audience was sharing. By Sunday, Blast pulled in about Rs.3.90 crore net in India, and that's a rise of over 81% against what it earned on Friday. With curiosity going up, exhibitors also slipped in extra shows in several regions, and a lot of the evening and late-night screenings were showing great occupancy levels.
