India, Sept. 24 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday announced a reshuffle of its organisational secretaries, with several functionaries being assigned new states ahead of the crucial 2027 Assembly elections, including in Uttar Pradesh.

At the national level, Shivprakash has been assigned Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa as National Joint General Secretary (Organisation), with Mumbai as his centre. His earlier responsibilities included Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. Telangana and West Bengal have now been dropped from his portfolio, while Goa has been added.
