India, July 3 -- Bitcoin and Ethereum traded higher on Friday, July 3, 2026, as investors reacted positively to the latest US jobs report, which strengthened expectations that the Federal Reserve may refrain from raising interest rates at its upcoming policy meeting. The world's largest cryptocurrency climbed above $61,800, while Ethereum outperformed with gains of more than 5%, extending the crypto market's early July rebound after a difficult June.

According to Yahoo Finance market data, Bitcoin opened at $61,492.99, up 2.5% from Thursday's opening price, and rose further to $61,853.72 by 8:45 a.m. ET. Ethereum opened at $1,698.37, gaining 5.6%, before advancing to $1,731.87 during the same period.
