India, Sept. 20 -- The case, registered in December 2022, has remained at the sanction stage despite the court-set deadline.

Nearly four years after the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) of Bihar registered a case against 1998-batch IPS officer Amit Lodha, and more than two years after the Patna High Court directed the agency to conclude its investigation within six months, the case remains stuck at the prosecution-sanction stage, with the required approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) still awaited, according to government sources familiar with the matter and documents reviewed by The Sunday Guardian.
