Bengal readies white paper on 'Mamata-era corruption'
India, Aug. 9 -- Nearly three months after the Bharatiya Janata Party swept to power in West Bengal, the Suvendu Adhikariled government is preparing to place before the Assembly a series of department-wise white papers documenting alleged financial irregularities committed during the 15-year rule of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, from 2011 to 2026.
The exercise, overseen by a specially constituted Group of Ministers (GoM), is expected to be tabled in the coming weeks, according to officials at the state secretariat, Nabanna.
