India, July 8 -- Prabash Mondol, one of the key accused in the gangrape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Baruipur, West Bengal, was killed in a police encounter early Tuesday (July 7). According to the authorities' statement, Mondol was transported to the crime scene last night as part of the formal reconstruction process conducted at the time of the incident. Authorities stated that during the process, the accused allegedly attempted to snatch a weapon from a police officer and tried to flee.
