India, Sept. 4 -- The BCCI has imposed a two-year ban on Bengal cricketer Rohit Yadav following an investigation into discrepancies in documents submitted to establish his age. The development comes just weeks after the leg-spinner featured for India Under-19 on the tour of Sri Lanka and was subsequently included in the squad for the home series against Australia. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has also taken a broader step against age-related irregularities, declaring 62 players ineligible for registration or transfers for tournaments during the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.
