India, Aug. 21 -- FC Barcelona midfielder Gavi has turned his attention away from football with a major act of generosity in his hometown. The 22-year-old has reportedly committed €1.3 million of his own money to a housing project in Los Palacios y Villafranca. The initiative will provide 150 homes for people facing homelessness and is expected to benefit around 300 residents. Gavi's gesture reflects his connection to the Andalusian town, where he spent his childhood before beginning his journey towards Barcelona and Spanish football.
