India, Nov. 4 -- Barcelona are keeping a close watch on Aston Villa midfielder Johan Manzambi ahead of a potential move in a future transfer window, with sporting director Deco reportedly impressed by the Swiss international's performances.

According to Diario SPORT, the 21-year-old has emerged as a player admired by Barcelona's sporting department after making an impressive start to life in the Premier League.

Manzambi has reportedly registered three goals and four assists in his first eight appearances for Aston Villa this season.

However, Unai Emery's side have made a substantial investment in the midfielder, with the reported €60 million transfer fee making any potential move to Camp Nou financially complicated.
