India, Sept. 20 -- Branch activities for the customers of banks in India must be planned with care since the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) is calling for a three-day strike across India from September 28 to September 30, 2026. UFBU is comprised of seven big banks unions and claims to represent almost 90% of officers and employees in the banks. An advisory from SBI has been issued to its customers in this regard.

Indefinite strike if the demands remain unresolved. According to the September 1 union statement, the UFBU comprises seven unions - AIBEA, AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBOC and INBEF and claims to represent more than 90 per cent of the banking workforce.
