India, Sept. 26 -- Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) will remain operational across India on Sunday, September 27, 2026, according to the information provided by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Ministry of Finance.

The special working day comes just before a proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to September 30. The decision is aimed at preventing an extended interruption in physical banking services at the end of the month.
