India, Sept. 26 -- Public sector banks (PSBs) and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) will remain operational on Sunday, September 27, 2026, ahead of a proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30. The government has taken the step to ensure customers get an additional day to complete essential banking work before the strike. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has also approved the opening of bank branches, offices, ATM-linked branches and currency chests on September 27.
