India, Aug. 31 -- Bank Holidays In September 2026: For bank customers in India, it is advisable to keep a sharp lookout on the holiday calendar for September 2026 before going to a branch. Banks will be closed for up to 14 days in September, but the complete calendar does not necessarily apply to each and every state or city. Out of these 14 holidays, six are holidays on weekends, and the other eight are holidays on account of regional festivals or local events in certain states.
