India, June 28 -- Customers intending to visit the bank branch on Monday, June 29, 2026, must ensure that their state celebrates a bank holiday although all bank branches will be operational in most states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh's banks will be closed to celebrate Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti.

According to the Reserve Bank of India's holiday calendar, regional holidays vary state by state, necessitating the need for customers to confirm their schedule before visiting a bank branch. There are more than 2.2 lakh bank branches in India catering to millions of customers, while more than 18 billion UPI transactions take place every month through digital banking.
