India, Aug. 6 -- Bangladesh Presidential Election News: Bangladesh is set to elect its next president on August 20, 2026, after the Election Commission formally announced the poll schedule. The election comes in the wake of the resignation of the former president, Mr Mohammed Shahabuddin, who stepped down from office on July 24, almost two years before the end of his presidential term.
