India, June 21 -- Director Chidambaram's psychological suspense thriller, Balan: The Boy, is still doing really well at the domestic box office. It opened on Friday to positive reviews, and then on Saturday there was a noticeable jump in collections. As per early trade estimates, the movie earned Rs.2.35 crore net in India on Day 2, and that is a solid 29.1% rise compared to its opening-day number of Rs.1.82 crore.

That kind of growth seems to indicate that good word of mouth is quietly pulling in more viewers. On Saturday, Balan: The Boy reportedly saw strong footfalls across 1,208 shows, and the collections kept climbing fairly steadily as the day went on.
