India, Aug. 10 -- Millions of Australians will take part in the country's 2026 Census on August 11, completing a 66-question survey designed to provide a detailed snapshot of the nation's population. Conducted every five years, the Census collects information about people, households, communities and living conditions to help governments plan essential services and infrastructure.
The 2026 Census also introduces several changes, including new questions on sexual orientation, sex recorded at birth and gender, while allowing people to report up to four ancestries instead of two.
