India, Sept. 11 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin's Aurus Senat is back in the spotlight as he arrives in New Delhi for his 2026 India visit. The Russian-made luxury limousine is being used as part of Putin's security arrangements in the capital, rather than relying solely on an Indian government vehicle.

Often described as a "fortress on wheels" or Russia's answer to ultra-secure presidential cars, the Senat combines a huge luxury-limousine cabin with extensive ballistic and blast protection. AURUS itself describes the Senat as the official limousine of the Russian president.
