India, Sept. 20 -- Fans, artistes and organisations across state honour Garg through music and tributes.

A year after the sudden death of Assam's beloved cultural icon Zubeen Garg, the state came together in grief, music and remembrance on Saturday as the first annual Zubeen Divas was observed across Assam. From Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur on the outskirts of Guwahati to district headquarters, literary bodies and fan gatherings, the day marked both a solemn anniversary and a celebration of a voice that helped define modern Assamese identity.
