India, April 6 -- Just days before Assam's Assembly elections on April 9, a major political controversy has erupted over allegations involving Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma. Congress leader Pawan Khera raised the issue during a press conference in New Delhi on April 5.

Khera alleged that Riniki Bhuyan Sarma holds three active foreign passports.
