India, Sept. 14 -- The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will be held across 54 competition venues from September 19 to October 4, 2026, with events taking place not only in Aichi and Nagoya but also in Tokyo, Shizuoka, Gifu and Osaka.

The Asian Games 2026 will bring together more than 11,000 athletes from 45 countries for 43 sports and 469 events. Japan is hosting the continental multi-sport event for the third time, following Tokyo in 1958 and Hiroshima in 1994.

Most competitions will be staged in and around Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture, although several events will be held outside the host region. The organisers are making extensive use of existing sports infrastructure, alongside newly built, renovated and temporary facilities.
