India, Sept. 23 -- India's medal count continued to rise at the Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday as the men's badminton team added another bronze to the country's haul. India lost 1-3 to China in the semifinal, but the result still secured a place on the podium for the Indian team. With that medal added, India now has 12 medals, one gold, five silver and six bronze.

The day has brought medals for India across shooting, weightlifting, soft tennis and badminton, while more podium finishes are also within reach. Naorem Roshibina Devi has reached the women's Sanda 60kg final, assuring another medal, and the men's kabaddi team has also confirmed a podium finish. However, neither has been added to India's official medal count yet.
