She returned to the track for the women's 5000m final and battled until the finish line, clocking 15:14.61 to secure another bronze. Meanwhile, Murali Sreeshankar claimed his second successive Asian Games silver in the men's long jump with a best effort of 8.07m. The Indian was forced to stop competing after injuring himself on his fourth attempt, meaning he could not take his final two jumps, but his earlier mark was enough to keep him on the podium.
