India, Sept. 24 -- India added two more medals to its Asian Games 2026 tally before wrapping up Day 5, with Seema making history by winning bronze in the women's 10,000m final at Aichi-Nagoya. The Indian distance runner clocked 32:50.05 to end the country's 16-year wait for a medal in the event. India's previous medals came at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, where Preeja Sreedharan won gold in 31:50.47 and Kavita Raut claimed silver in 31:51.44. Bahrain's Winfred Yavi took gold ahead of Japan's Nozomi Tanaka, with Seema completing the podium after staying with the lead pack before the front two pulled clear with three laps remaining.
