India, Sept. 30 -- India added another gold medal to its 2026 Asian Games campaign as the mixed compound archery pair of Sahil Rajesh Jadhav and Chikitha Taniparthi triumphed in Aichi-Nagoya. The Indian duo edged past South Korea 158-157 in a dramatic final that went down to a shoot-off after both teams finished the regular sets level at 157-157.

The victory not only secured gold for Jadhav and Taniparthi but also earned India a quota place for the 2028 Olympics in the compound mixed team event. With the scores tied heading into the deciding shoot-off, the Indian pair held their nerve to seal a narrow victory over South Korea and finish on top of the podium.
