India, Sept. 25 -- The Indian men's kabaddi team stormed into the Asian Games 2026 final after defeating Thailand 66-28 in the semifinal at the Tokai Citizen Gymnasium in Aichi on Friday. After finishing at the top of Group A with a perfect record, the defending champions maintained their momentum in the knockout stage. India's defence, led by captain Sunil Kumar alongside Jaideep Dahiya, Sumit and Rahul Sethpal, set the tone early by forcing Thailand into an all-out within the opening five minutes. Thailand, competing in an Asian Games semifinal for the first time, responded through Theeradet Chaisit, whose super raid and subsequent successful raids helped his side produce an unexpected all-out and reduce India's lead to 24-14.
