India, Sept. 23 -- India had another medal-filled day at the Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday, September 23, with Mirabai Chanu winning silver in women's 49kg weightlifting and the men's badminton team securing bronze. India also added bronze medals in women's and men's skeet team events, while Jay Meena claimed bronze in men's singles soft tennis.

Roshibina Devi reached the women's Sanda 60kg final after beating Indonesia's Thania Kusumaningtyas 2-0, assuring another medal for India. The men's kabaddi team also confirmed a podium finish, while Indian athletes across hockey, boxing, squash, rowing, canoe sprint, table tennis and other sports recorded wins and qualification results.
