India, Sept. 26 -- India have had a packed day at the Asian Games 2026, with medals, finals and several big results coming across sports. Anahat Singh created history by reaching the women's singles squash final after beating Japan's Satomi Watanabe 3-2, while Abhay Singh also booked his place in the men's singles final with a straight-games win over Pakistan's Muhammad Irfan. Both have confirmed atleast two silvers for India.

Badminton also produced mixed results for India. PV Sindhu and Unnati Hooda moved into the next round of the women's singles event after winning their respective matches, while Lakshya Sen's campaign came to an end after he lost to Singapore's Loh Kean Yew 12-21, 21-15, 14-21 in the men's singles second round.
