India, Oct. 4 -- India wrapped up its Asian Games 2026 campaign in Aichi-Nagoya with 21 gold medals, with the men's hockey team adding the final gold after defeating Malaysia in the title clash on Saturday. The performance also helped India secure Olympic qualification spots for LA 2028, with gold-medal finishes in archery and hockey contributing to the country's qualification tally. Before the Games, five sports - hockey, archery, tennis, squash and surfing - offered qualification opportunities through Asian Games gold, and India has now secured quotas in four disciplines.
