India, Sept. 26 -- Two-time defending champion Tajinderpal Singh Toor added another chapter to his continental dominance on Saturday, clinching a hard-fought silver medal in the men's shot put final at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya.

Toor unleashed a massive fifth-round throw of 20.64m, missing out on a historic third straight gold by just 17cm behind Iran's Mohammadreza.

The gritty podium finish pushed India's overall medal count to 29, helping the country climb into the top 10 on the leaderboard.
